Tasty Chicken biryani recipe

Biriyani is one of the favourite among all persons. Because it's really very tasty and my favourite. So I share with you my own recipe 
Chicken biryani is a popular Indian dish that combines flavorful rice with tender chicken pieces and aromatic spices. It is a dish that is loved for its rich and complex flavors. The dish typically consists of layers of fragrant basmati rice and spiced chicken, cooked together to create a delicious and satisfying meal. 

To make chicken biryani, you will need the following ingredients:



Ingredients:

- 500g chicken, cut into pieces

- 2 cups basmati rice

- 3 onions, thinly sliced

-  2  boiled potato 

-  2 tomatoes, chopped

- 1/2 cup plain yogurt

- 4 cloves garlic, minced

- 1-inch ginger, grated

- 4 green chilies 

- 1 lemon

- 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped

- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped

- Whole spices (cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, bay leaves)

- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 1 teaspoon coriander powder

- 1 teaspoon garam masala

- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder

- Salt to taste

- Ghee or oil for cooking

- Saffron strands soaked in warm milk (optional)


Instructions :

1. Wash the basmati rice until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes and same time cut green chilies and soak it in to lemon juice addition to 1pinch salt.

2. In a large pot, heat some ghee or oil. Add the whole spices and cumin seeds. Saute until fragrant.

3. Add the sliced onions and cook until golden brown addition to boiled potato fry it in oil.

4. Add the garlic, ginger, green chilies, and tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.

5. Add the chicken pieces, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the chicken is browned. Add yoghurt into it.

6. In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add the soaked rice and few drops of lemon juice and cook until it is 70% done. Drain the rice.

7. Layer the partially cooked rice over the chicken mixture. Sprinkle garam masala, fresh coriander, and mint leaves and sliced brown onion.

8. Cover the pot with a tight lid or use watery wheat flour for better. Cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes until the rice and chicken are fully cooked.

9. If using saffron, drizzle the saffron milk over the biryani before serving.
